OZU – PRESAGE

The work features contemporary, abstract photographic details (laden with materials and colours) taken on the outskirts of Hong Kong. This detail is pervaded by the image of a Japanese man from the first half of the 20th century; the male figure, portrayed from behind, was painted in India ink and inspired by the 1936 film “The Only Son” directed by Yasujirō Ozu.
